      " Dingo’s Recovery is a May-December romance that explores how age isn’t always a good way to evaluate how accomplished, mature, secure, or fragile a person might actually feel. The old can be young at heart and the young can grow old too fast.   Dingo pups were taken from the wild when very young. The pups were a highly valued ritual food source, while others were adopted into human society. They grew up in the company of women and children, providing an effective hunting aid, a living blanket and guarding against intruders.

      This is a story about the first dingo. It is also the story of Loa, who heads off across the sea in his canoe when the girl he loves marries another. He takes only his spears and a ‘rubbish dog’, one of the scavengers from around the camp to eat if he g4/5(7). Dingo is a novel by the French novelist and playwright untamed creature that assumes mythical proportions in Mirbeau's book. Uncorrupted by social institutions, endowed with animal good sense, Dingo exposes the vices, duplicity, and venality of the local autochthons while also instructing his "master" in the virtue of living in harmony with.
